Srinagar: Capital of Jammu & Kashmir and fondly called as Kashmiri Venice, Srinagar is the first stop for the most tourists heading to Kashmir. It lies on the banks of River Jhelum and placed in the core of Kashmir valley. Go around the region and discover the infinite beauty Srinagar takes absolute pride in. Enjoy excursion at Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Pari Mahal, Dal Lake, Nagin Lake and Indira Gandhi memorial tulip garden. Srinagar is also recognized for the exquisite handicrafts and dry fruits, so better don’t miss out on them.
Gulmarg: Premier skiing destination, Gulmarg is an eminent hill station which falls in the Baramula district of Jammu & Kashmir. It’s at the distance of around 52kms from Srinagar and is at the height of an average 2,690m. This meadow of flowers, also famed as summer capital, used to serve as a resort to prominent kings during the ancient India, like Jahangir and Yousuf Shah Chak to name a few. Earlier, it enjoyed the name ‘Gauri Marg’, but as Yousuf Shah Chak started visiting it frequented, he renamed it as Gulmarg, the site of roses.
Pahalgam: Certainly, one of the most striking places on earth, Pahalgam, regarded as ‘Village of Shepherds’, has plenty of spectacular views to offer. It’s frequented by a large number of tourists every year and all of them love rejuvenating in its calming environment. Apart from relaxing, enjoy a trek on the many mountains in the town, for instance, Lidderwat, Kolohoi Glacier or to Sonmarg. In the months from December to February, take pleasure in the snow skiing.
